Description

The National Park Service requires a contractor to Repair the park boat the Liberty IV as outlined below: 1) Drydock vessel 2) Change propellers remove and replace NPS supplied 3) repack port and starboard main shaft stuffing boxes remove all old packing and replace with new 4) replace zinc anodes on hull 16-24 lbs units removed old 5) replace zinc anodes on keel cooler 6) replace zinc collars on port and starboard tail shafts 3 units on each shaft 7) open, remove screens on bottom of vessel sea chests for U.S. Coast Guard inspection, clean and paint 2 sea chests 8) prepare prime and paint bottom plating anti fouling red 9)prepare, prime and paint side plating gloss black 2 coats 10) reletter draft markings, name and port of call on hull 11) prepare prime and paint main deck non skid grey 12) prepare prime and paint deck house gloss white 13) prepare prime and paint safety handrails expoxy glass white 14) dry all compartment bilge areas of water for U.S. Coast Guard inspection 15) open clean and reinstall 6 sea valves and have ready for U.S. Coast guard inspection 16) replace 8 square feet of deck, passenger cabin starboard side aft crop out old plate and install new. A site visit will be scheduled and noted in the request for quotation. All requests must be in writing and maybe FAXED to (212) 363-8343. Contract award is contingent upon availability of funds.****
