Description

This is Amendment 004 to the synopsis/solicitation N00421-01-R-0015 for overhaul and repair of helicopter instruments that originally appeared in the CBD on Thursday, 16 November 2000, Submission No. 5068P9. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the due date for proposals and provide additional information and requirements for requesting copies of technical publications. The due date for submission of proposals has been extended from 31 January 2001 to 8 March 2001, by 2:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. The procedure as outlined in Amendment 003 to obtain copies of technical publications has been changed. NAVAIR technical publications (those beginning with the designation NA) must be requested directly from NATEC. The procedure for making this request is as follows. Contractors must send the NATEC Industry Sales Desk their company name and address (address must be the same as on the DD 2345), copy of the solicitation and current amendment showing current closing date, current DD 2345, and list of NA technical publications they are requesting. This information can be transmitted by email to qualifiedcontractor@navair.navy.mil or by fax at (619) 545-2894. Any questions regarding the NATEC Industry Sales Desk procedures can be directed to Tom Dorazo (619) 545-2894, Paula Hoff (619) 545-2629, or Patty Tingle (619) 545-2723. Air Force technical publications (those beginning with the designation T.O.) will be sent directly to contractors by the cognizant Air Force base. The procedure for making this request is as follows. Contractors must send a request for technical publications along with a copy of their current DD 2345 to the Contract Specialist POC listed below. The Contract Specialist will forward requests to the cognizant Air Force distribution center and the technical publications will be sent directly to the contractor. If you have already submitted a DD 2345 and request for technical publications to the Contract Specialist as outlined in Amendment 003, you need not submit another copy to receive these Air Force publications. Please be advised that Air Force technical publications 5L6-3-43-3 and 5E6-2-41-4 are in the process of reprinting and will not be available for approximately 30 days. Responses to this solicitation should include acknowledgment of receipt of this Amendment 004. As noted above, the proposal due date of 31 January 2001 has been extended to 8 March 2001, no later than 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
