Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS), S&T, Pesticide Data Branch, Manassas, VA, intends to purchase 2 (two) 46781 Auto Trace SPE Workstation with the following specifications: processes up to six (6) water samples simultaneously; loads sample volumes from 10mL to 2000mL; segregates aqueous and solvent waste using separate waste lines; automatically conditions, rinses and elutes with a choice of (5) reagents; no hood space required; SPE cartridge or extraction disk technology; requires installation and support, additionally this procurment requires 49707 (1) liter glass bottle sample rack, 1 (one) 49705 elution rack. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), FOB destination purchase order with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government knows of no other source, and believes this item is propriety to Zymark Corporation. NAICS code 334516. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Interested firms should submit in writing, their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size, a brief statement regarding capability to provide the specified item, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided this item. Interested firms should also provide warranty information. However, all proposals received by 2:30 p.m. local time on January 29, 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20.
