Description

This is a market survey to locate sources capable of providing Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) engineering and technical support services for one NU-1B and two U-6A aircraft located at the United States Naval Test Pilot School, NAS Patuxent River, MD. The Original Equipment Manufacturer is Bombardier Aerospace, formerly DeHavilland of Canada. These aircraft are currently maintained in accordance with commercial/FAA maintenance procedures and practices. The anticipated support services required include, but are not limited to, providing new or overhauled aircraft components, engineering support, aircraft inspections, technical writing, maintenance training, and serving as a technical liaison. Industry is notified that the Government does not have access to, nor is planning to obtain, the technical proprietary data and software rights for the U1 or the U6. This request is for information only; proposals are not being requested nor will they be accepted in response to this synopsis. No contracts will be awarded solely on the basis of the responses to this synopsis. The Navy intends to award one contract with a performance period of one base year and four option years for these services.
