Description

Obsolescence is a continuing problem on the M1A2 Abrams System Enhancement Package (SEP) tank. Technology advancements and low production rates add to the problem. The Continuous Electronic Enhancement Program (CEEP)is Abrams' long term, proactive, strategy to reduce obsolescence through redesigned LRUs and SRUs that have availability issues which impact the readiness and sustainability of the M1A2 Abrams SEP tank. Implementation of this strategy will be done through the award of a five year, sole source contract with General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) as the prime contractor for the redesign of components. GDLS, through the use of small business subcontractors and other interested offerors, will redesign, procure, integrate, and qualify various M1A2 Abrams SEP components incorporating the latest technology advancements.
