Description

Sources Sought for local telephone exchange services for Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. This sources sought is for information planning purposes only and is not a request for proposal. The Army requires nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. The proposed contract will be for a 5-year period. The local exchange service provider certified by the Puerto Rico PSC shall provide local commercial communication services that include as a minimum, but not limited to, demarcation points, local access to commercial business lines, analog and digital subscriber lines, analog, digital, and Integrated Systems Digital Network (ISDN), Primary Rate Interface (PRI), city trunk services, Extended Direct Line Connection and equipment, transport channel services, directory number and number portability, emergency 911 service extended to Fort Buchanan emergency action stations such as the Military Police Station, operator and directory assistance, local and Intra-LATA access, interconnection with Inter-LATA exchange carrier, MEGA LINKS, ISDN, internal and external caller ID. Service provided must interface with other carriers providing FTS22001 and DSM service with precedence capability for CONUS and OCONUS calling areas. The procurement will be a commercial, fixed-price type contract with a base year and four one-year option periods. Solicitation is anticipated for release late FY01. Interested concerns should submit within 30 days of this notice, written evidence of capability to perform to include the telephone number for a point of contact to the contracting officer listed below. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results of the information submitted, as this is a request for information and sources as part of the government's marker survey.
