Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons , Western Regional Office is seeking qualified sources capable of providing medical services. The medical facility shall be responsible for furnishing all necessary professional health care services, including but not limited to diagnosis, consultations, treatment, reporting, management oversight and training. The professional services required include inpatient/outpatient hospital services; inpatient/outpatient physician services, outpatient Institution services and other institution services. These services shall include but will not be limited to, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Otorhinolaryngology, Radiology, Infectious Disease, Geriatrics, Dialysis, Anesthesiology, Detoxification, Pulmonary medicine, Outpatient Physical Therapy, Psychiatry, Carboloy, Urology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Chemotherapy, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Radiation Therapy, Oral Surgery, Laboratory Services, Professional Services, Telehealth Medical, Neurosurgery, Anesthesiology, Podiatry, and Neurology. Location of the medical facility shall be within a sixty (60) miles of the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Located at 3600 Guard Road, Lompoc, CA 93436. The Federal Bureau of Prisons anticipated the award of a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery type contract resulting from the Request for Proposal. The estimated quantities are as follows: Base Year; Inpatient Services; 300 inpatient days, Outpatient Services; 430 outpatient days, Option Year 1; Inpatient Services; 370 inpatient days, Outpatient Services, 510 outpatient days, Option Year 2, Inpatient Services ; 370 inpatient days, Outpatient Services; 570 outpatient days, Option Year 3: Inpatient Services; 370 inpatient days, Outpatient Services; 570 outpatient days, Option Year 4; Inpatient Services; 370 inpatient days, Outpatient Services; 510 outpatient days. The Outpatient Institution Services will vary according to the Specialist required: Orthopedic Surgeon; 192 session per year. Optometrist, 336 sessions per year, Cardiologist, 48 sessions per year, Radiologist, 384 sessions per year, Psychiatrist, 672 sessions per year, Urologist, 48 sessions per year, Physical Therapist, 48 sessions per year, General Surgeon, 96 sessions per year, Ophthalmologist, 96 sessions per year, Neurologist, 48 sessions per year, Oral Surgeon, 24 sessions per year, Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist, 96 sessions per year, Podiatry, 72 sessions per year, Gastroenterology, 96 sessions per year, Sonography, 96 sessions per year, Oncology, 48 sessions per year, pharmacist, 192 sessions per year, Dermatologist, 48 sessions year. Other Institutions services: Mobile MRI 192 sessions per year, CT Units; 192 sessions year. Each session shall consist of sixty minutes. The above cited requirements are estimated only, and are not a representation to the Offerors that the quantities will be required or ordered. The anticipated period of contract performance will be; Base Year; date of award through 12 months from award date; Option Year 1; 13 months from date of award through 24 months from date of award; Option Year 2; 25 months from date of award through 36 months from award date; Option Year 3; 37 months from date of award through 48 months from award date; Option Year 4: 49 months from date of award through 60 months from award date. Proposal packages will be approximately available 2/28/01 with an approximate opening date of 3/01/01. All offers received in response to this notice, will be subject to the evaluation criteria as established in the Request for Proposal.
