Description

The U.S. Army TACOM/ARDEC is seeking qualified firms who can respond to a request for proposal to manufacture and deliver M795 HE projectile metal parts. A qualified source should possess the equipment, process technology and manufacturing experience to forge, heat treat, nose, overlay weld, machine and inspect the M795. The projectile shells are to be made from high fragmentation steel and require specialized rotating band overlay welding skills and equipment for HF-1 steel. The Government will not facilitize prospective offerors. Any offeror will be required to self facilitize at their own expense. Interested manufacturers are requested to submit a capabilities statement by Electronic Commerce (EC) which should address, at a minimum, the items delineated under the numbered note indicated below. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this market survey. This notice is for informational purposes only. Participation in this market survey will not effect a company's position during any future solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for the information provided. No basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this market survey or Government use of such information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. See Note 25
