Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma Arizona, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Zenon Environmental Inc., 3239 Dundas Street West, Oakville, Ontario L6M 4B2. To purchase Zenon ZeeWeed Ultra filtration (UF) unit for research project to replace the conventional pretreatment system. Competition is restricted due to Zenon ZeeWeed Ultra filtration (UF) unit is the only known UF that utilizes a process that involves the production of treated water through ZeeWeed "Outside-In" hollow fibre ultra filtration membrane modules with pore sizes typically in the range of 0.035 to 0.1 microns. The small pore size ensures that no particulate matter exceeding 0.1 microns in size including Giardia cysts and Cryptosporidium oocysts can enter the treated water stream. This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is February 16, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Offers shall show contractor's capability to provide required items and be received by 12 Noon MST, February 15, 2001.
