Description

This acquisition is being offered for full and open competition subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 234920. Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Woman-Owned Small Businesses, Disabled Veteran Small Businesses, and HUBZone certified Businesses are encouraged to participate. This project involves the demolition of existing overhead electrical distribution and the installation of new underground electrical distribution. It involves the installation of sectionalizing cabinets, transformers, duct bank, primary and secondary laterals. Existing overhead service entrances are to be removed and/or modified. Existing street and parking lot light circuits are to be converted from overhead to underground. The project area spans approximately 2100 feet. The performance period for the resultant construction contract awarded as a result of this solicitation is 180 calendar days. The winter exclusion period for this project is 1 November to 15 April. Magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Issue date for this solicitation is anticipated to be on or about 21 February 2001, with a closing date 30 calendar days after issuance. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal -- Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT). Under PPT, past performance will be evaluated. This solicitation will be available only via the Internet at the following address: www.eps.gov.
