Description
This announcement serves as your advanced notice. Be sure to register, as instructed herein, to obtain the project and any amendments. Furnish material, labor, and equipment to fabricate one (1) cargo box barge, 54' X 140' X 7' for the Corps of Engineers lock maintenance support. The barge shall be constructed in strict accordance with the Government furnished drawings and specifications. The barge shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the American Bureau of Shipment. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville Repair Station, Ohio River Mile 606. Delivery shall be no later than 180 days after the notice to proceed is given by the Contracting Officer. This acquisition includes an option for one (1) cargo box barge, identical in construction, specifications and delivery requirements. . This acquisition is restricted to small business. The SAIC Code is 336611. Estimated value is $600,000 (this estimate includes the option). This will be a Continuing Funds contract. The issue date for Solicitation Number DACW27-01-B-0005 is approximately 14 February 2001. The last date for receipt of bids is approximately 20 March 2001 @ 2:00 pm, local time. This project will be available by downloading from the Internet only. The project specifications files are portable Document Format Files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Acrobat Adobe Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are 486-based person computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater and 8MB application RAM.
