Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is contemplating award on a sole source basis to SAIC for a six-month extension to contract DSWA01-97-C-0172 for the Radiation Experiments Command Center (RECC) program. The RECC program is a DoD level program for which the Defense Threat Reduction Agency provides management and administrative direction that identifies and documents DoD-sponsored radiation experimental events involving military personnel and DoD civilian employees. The extension will be made on a sole-source basis to SAIC because they are the only company capable of providing uninterrupted program support in a timely, cost-effective manner for this short term extension. Unacceptable delays would be experienced if services were obtained from other than the current in-place contractor. See Note 22. *****
