Description

A -- Real-time detection of damage to natural gas transmission pipelines. This is a potential technology development and licensing opportunity with Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). BBWI is conducting research and development activities relating to the real-time detection of damage to natural gas transmission pipelines. We are seeking to identify a pipeline construction company that will allow our R&D project personnel to come on-site and observe the laying of such a pipeline and ask questions about the process. Such contact could lead to further interaction that could position the participating company for entering into a collaborative technology development agreement with BBWI and or an exclusive license on the technology for use on future pipeline projects. This is not an opportunity to provide goods or services to BBWI or the Department of Energy. This Request for Interest (RFI) will close to response 60 days after publication.
