Description

Construction of two floodwater retarding dams designated as Ararat River Site No. 64 and 69. Work consists of clearing and/or grubbing 18.9 acres; seeding 15 acres; excavation 46,000 cy; earthfill 57,000 cy; diversion 1,500 lf; drain fill 1,610 cy; 4" pipe 190 lf; loose rock riprap 920 cy; gravel 950 tons; fencing 2,510 lf; and mobilization, pollution control, removal of water, pipe spillway, and access road. Located near Ararat in Patrick County, Virginia. Cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Approximately 456 calendar days performance time.
