Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The RFQ number is N00140-01-Q-1339. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 98-16. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these address: www.arnet.gov/far and www.dtic.mil/dfars. FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure a PTRS Coverall with underwear, on a sole source basis with Texplorer GMBH under the authority of 6.302-1, Only one responsible source. The Schedule of services is as follows: Offerors shall provide a unit price and extended price for the following CLIN. CLIN 0001 Lightweight Environmental Protection Combat Uniform, EST QTY 60, UNIT EA. The delivery date is to be 12 March 2001. FAR 52.212-1 is applicable. FAR 52.212-4 is applicable. FAR 52.212-5 is applicable, along with the following FAR Clauses cited in the clause: 52.222-21, 52.222-36, and 52.232-33. DFARS 252.212-7001 is applicable. All proposals should include a point of contact, name and phone number, remittance address, completed copies of FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000, and price. For solicitations issued after 31 March 1998, DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. This announcement will close at 4:00 PM on 10 February 2000. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk, DET Philadelphia. The Government will not pay for information received.
