Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Business Center, hereby gives notice of its intent to negotiate solely with Acuson Corporation, 1220 Charleston Road, Mountain View, CA 94043, for preventive maintenance of the Acuson Ultrasound XP/10C; Sequoia C256 System; Sequoia C258 System. Due to proprietary software and required parts available only to the manufacturer, the calibration and tuning of these units is critical and demands only the trained technicians by Acuson Corporation. Locations are at three VISN 22 facilities: (1) West Los Angeles Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, California, (2) Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, California, (3) Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 1700 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and other than full and open competition in accordance with (10 U.S.C. 2304 (C)(1))(sole source) FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Contract to be effective for the period of One (1) Base year with renewal options of four (4) additional one- (1) year periods. Responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered.
