Description

The planned A-76 Study of the entire Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) Department at NTC Great Lakes has been revised in scope to only include the Maintenance and Janitorial Services in support of the MWR Department. As a result, CBD Submission # 441957 dated 040600 has been modified as follows: 1) the Classification Code has been changed from "G -- Social Services" to "S -- Utilities and Housekeeping Services"; 2) the Subject title has been changed from " MORALE, WELFARE AND RECREATION SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF NAVAL TRAINING CENTER GREAT LAKES, IL" to "MAINTENANCE AND JANITORIAL SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE MORALE, WELFARE & RECREATION DEPARTMENT AT THE NAVAL TRAINING CENTER GREAT LAKES, IL"; 3) the Solicitation number has been changed from "N00140-00-R-N548" to "N00140-01-R-N625"; 4) The Response Date has been changed from "072400" to "032200"; and 5) The following information now applies and replaces any information contained within submission 441957: The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire Maintenance and Janitorial services in support of the MWR Department at the NTC Great Lakes. This procurement will be 100% set aside for small businesses. The anticipated release date of the solicitation N00140-01-R-N625 is on or around 22 February 2000. Subject services include ongoing tasks to maintain the cleanliness and material condition of the MWR facilities and equipment, general labor in support of MWR program activities and special events, minor construction projects and maintenance and repair of MWR facilities/equipment on an as needed basis. The Service Provider shall provide all labor and material associated with the Maintenance and Janitorial functions. Facilities and major equipment will be provided by the Government. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated, with a base period of one year and four one-year options. This solicitationis part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government performance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicistioan will be cancelled and no contract will be awarded. All responsible sources may request a copy of the solicitation and may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government. A Pre-proposal conference is anticipated, the time, date and location of which will be announced at a later date.
