Description

The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing Louisiana State Penitentiary Levee, Levee Enlargement and Berms, Item 3, located in West Felicina Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of the work include levee enlargement and berm embankment, establishment of turf, crushed stone surfacing, relief wells, and asphaltic concrete roadway. The work includes mobilization, demobilization, clearing and grubbing, sandbag removal, fully compacted embankment, semicompacted embankment, uncompacted embankment, ditch excavation, ditch fill, relief wells, crushed stone surfacing, corrugated metal pipe culverts, erosion control, turfing and mowing, crushed stone base course, asphaltic concrete binder course, asphaltic concrete wearing course, cattle guards, storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
