Description

Rental/Lease of Hydro (water) blast equipment with required hoses/fittings and without "UHP" Pump, quantity of 2 units during timeframe of 01 May 01 through 01 Jul 01 and then 1 unit from 01 Jul 01 to 15 Sep 01. The unit shall operate satisfactorily on horizontal, vertical (100 foot maximum elevation) and inverted surfaces. While operating on vertial surfaces, the crawler shall be capable of forward, backward, or continuous horizontal travel, and, pivoting 360 degrees without repositioning or tethering services leads. The unit will be used in conjunction with existing UHP water pumps and vacuum reclamation equipment for simultaneous (closed loop) removal and collection of exterior hull coatings from ships and submarines. The system will be operated in a heavy industrial environment and shall be capable of continuous operation over an extended period of time with minimal maintenance and upkeep. On-site Operating and Maintenance personnel Training shall be provided at start of lease period to train personnel. FOB Destination to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, Washington. This requirement will be procured under commercial, simplified acquisition procedures. RYG Program Evaluation applicable. The solicitation will be posted for download at the NECO site. It is anticipated that it will be available for download approximately 07 Feb 01. When the solicitation is available for download, prospective offerors should carefully review the solicitation posted at http://www.neco.navy.mil/ (then "Business Opportunities) (then search using the solicitation number N0040601T0272, all are "zeros" not the letter "oh"). After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, (3) manufacturer information of proposed items and (4) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.2000.com/). Notes 9 and 23 apply. This is a web-based solicitation. No hard-copy solicitation/amendment documents will be distributed by the Government.
