Description

The Department of Defense Dependent Schools Europe (DoDDS-E) has 128 sites located in Germany, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Azores, and Bahrain. DoDDS-E has a requirement to provide 18,000 Personal Computers (PCs) in a 4-year life cycle. DoDDS-E is anticipating the lease of approximately 7,000 PCs for FY 2001, an additional 6,500 for a total of 13,500 for FY 2002, an additional 2,500 for a total of 16,000 for FY 2003, and an additional 2,000 for a total of 18,000 in FY 2004. The PCs for FY 2001 should be atleast a 700 MHz Pentium with 128 Megabytes of RAM. The lease is expected to include Microsoft Office software and Windows OS licenses, installation, on-site maintenance for the life of the lease, asset tracking, imaging with the DoDDS-E provided image, and deinstallation.
