Description

Electrical, Phase 1 -- Work includes providing all labor, material, and equipment to replace switchboards, electric panels, feeders, and branch circuits on the normal power system in building 1 and 1C as follows: 1) Replace all pre-1980 switchboards, panel, feeders, and branch circuits. 2) Provide "green" grounding conductors in all work completed as part of this project. 3) New panels to have main circuit breakers. 4) Provide selected additional panels, as needed (i.e. Christmas lights). 5) Provide panel covers and panel locks that promote ease of maintenance. Solicitation packages will be available approximately Feb. 15, 2001 -- all solicitation packages request must be in writing and accompanied by a company check (no personal check) in the amont of $35.00, refundable, per package and made payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs. A limited number of packages are available and will be issued on a first-come-first-served-basis. Applicable NAICS code 23531 and project estimate is $250,000 to $500,000. Site inspection is scheduled for March 6, 2001 at 1 p.m. Bids are due March 22, 2001 at 2 p.m.
