Description
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations having in-house capability to perform in vitro receptor binding and functional activity assays. Proprietary test compounds will be evaluated in established assays, and the resulting data will be utilized by the Cocaine and Opiate Treatment Discovery Programs of the NIDA Division of Treatment Research and Development. Offerors must indicate possession of current DEA registration for Schedule II-V substances prior to award and apply for Schedule I registration at the time of award. It is estimated that a 4 year incrementally funded combination completion/term-type contract with optional quantities will be awarded from this procurement. RFP No. N01DA-1-8816 will be available electronically on or about February 8, 2001, with responses due 45 calendar days thereafter and may be accessed through the Internet at the following address: (URL: http://www.nida.nih.gov/RFP/RFPList.html) Please note that the RFP for this acquisition will be streamlined to include only the Work Statement, Deliverables and Reporting Requirements, Special Requirements and Mandatory Qualifications, Technical Evaluation Criteria, and other necessary Proposal Preparation Instructions. All information required for submission of an offer will be contained in or accessible through the electronic RFP package. Following proposal submission and the initial review process, offerors comprising the competitive range may be requested to provide additional documentation to the Contracting Officer. Response to the RFP will be due on or about March 26, 2001. Any responsible offeror may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the Government.
