Description

Contractor shall furnish all tools, fuels, lubricants, materials, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to perform ground maintenance for Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Avenue & South 6th Street, Fort Smith, AR 22211 covering the period March 1, 2001 (or date of contract award, whichever is later) through February 28, 2002 (base period), with two 1-year options to extend the term of the contract February 28, 2004. Duties include mowing, trimming around headstones with a gas-powered weed-eater, edge the road curbs, weed flowerbeds, trim flowers, and clean debris from the cemetery grounds in accordance with the drawings and specifications. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561730 and a size standard of 500 employees is applicable to this acquisition. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid. Requests for hard copies of the solicitation must be in writing to Mr. J. C. Jackson and accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of Five Dollars ($5.00) (non-refundable) made payable to "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs." No telephone requests will be accepted. Hard copy solicitations will be mailed on or about February 7, 2001.
