Description

This is a modification to a previous notice issued 18 January 2001. This office intends to extend contract F16602-92-D0010 with SATO Travel, 1005 North Glebe Road, Arlington VA 22201, to for a base period of 12 months (1 Apr 01-31 Mar 02) plus include an option to extend for an additional 9-month period (1 Apr 02-31 Dec 02). The purpose of this contract extension is to allow the government sufficient time to finalize acquisition processes and implementation schedules for the follow-on DOD wide defense travel service (DTS) contracts. Since commercial travel office service is necessary on a continuing basis due to mission requirements, negotiations with the incumbent contractor are required to continue service with the least amount of disruption and cost to the government. Modification will include a no-cost termination clause giving the government the unilateral right to terminate the agreement with a 60-day government notice to facilitiate award and providing of services under the follow-on DTS regional contracts.
