Description

This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Forest Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) to rent dozer (minimum D6) equipped with rippers, an approved spark arrestor or be turbocharged, have a fire extinguisher, shovel and must meet OSHA safety standards. Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, transportation, and perform all work necessary for the construction of dams and terraces and installation of PVC pipe for principal spillways. The Forest Service will provide PVC pipe and anti-seep collars for installation in dams and terraces. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns with a size standard of $5 million dollars. The NAICS code is 23499. The tentative issue for RFQ is on or about 02/19/2001. A firm fixed-price order will be issued. Request for RFQ shall be in writing, stating RFQ number FS-WOC-01-1033, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number and facsimile number.
