Description

The intent of this project is for the construction of a 14 by 24 meter parking area, three pullouts, grading and grid rolling of approximately 7.81 km of road, ditch excavation and filling dips in the traveled way and includes individual removal of trees, excavation, embankment construction, haul, furnishing and installing corrugated metal pipes, pit development, and equipment rental. The project is located on the Tongass National Forest, Southeast Alaska, Mitkof Island approximately 11 km south of Petersburg, Alaska. The project area is accessible via road from Petersburg. Contract time is 90 calendar days. The price range for this project is $25,000 -- $100,000. Written or facsimile requests for the solicitation should reference solicitation number KTN-01-09. With the exception of the drawings, the entire solicitation package will be available for downloading from the Tongass National Forest Acquisition webpage on or about February 27, 2001.
