See Notes #1 & 22: This announcement is for information purposes only and will be made on a sole source basis by COB 2/15/01. This award is a planned solicitation under the simplified acquisition process. The Food and Drug Administration [FDA], Center for Food Safety & Applied Nurition [CFSAN], intends to award a purchase order for services to Chester J. Carter of Temple Hills, MD., based on the Scope of Work for technical services to complete the following tasks: support gross necropsy operations, training biologist, assure that all relevant safety procedures are in effect; prepare enzyme histochemical staining on tissues from selected studies; assure quality control for tissue processing, embedding and staining; and archiving pathology specimens. Period of performance: data of award through one year. This procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. The following provision also applies to this acquisition: 52.232-33 Mandatory Information Electronic Funds Transfer Payment. All equipment, research materials and facilities will be furnished by the Government at the Center for Food Safety & Applied Nurition, work is onsite at Mod I, Laurel, Maryland.
