Description

SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, SC (Code 50) plans to acquire on a Sole Source, Firm- Fixed-Price type basis a contract with Litton Advanced Systems Division, Gaithersburg, MD 20877-1441. The proposed procurement is for the production of a second Generation Prototype LSO Terminal for SATCC/SIVCS Communication on the USS Kitty Hawk and USS Enterprise. Litton Advanced Systems is the only known source of the required 2nd generation prototype terminal. This acquisition will be negotiated on a Sole Source basis with Litton Advanced Systems Division under the authority of FAR 6.203-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. See Numbered Note 22. A Determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
