- Description
- Electronic VBA (E-VBA) -- Strategic Vision -- POC Robert Page E-VBA Task Force Coordinator, evba@vba.va.gov: THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL SOLICITATION, but an opportunity for early industry involvement in the planning process. The Veteran Benefits Administration is in the process of developing a strategy to migrate its current business activities, Compensation, Pension, Education, Loan Guaranty, Vocational Counseling and Employment and Insurance, to an electronic environment. It is expected that much of that effort will require industry support and expertise. Toward that objective, VBA is extending an invitation to interested industry representatives to attend a presentation on Wednesday February 28th, 2001 at 9:00 am in Room 542, 1800 G St., Washington, DC at which time VBA will provide an overview of the current VBA strategic E-vision. Following that presentation VBA will issue a formal Request for Information (RFI) for interested vendors to submit Capability Statements addressing VBA's specific needs in this area. The capability statements provided in response to the RFI should be concise and specifically tailored to address the Electronic VBA (E-VBA) initiative. Based on the information contained in your Capability Statement, several firms will be invited back to further elaborate on their capability to provide the needed support in accordance with Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (Market Research). Seating is very limited, so interested parties are asked to limit participation to no more than three representatives, and to R.S.V.P. to Robert Page, Task Force Coordinator, at evba@vba.va.gov. E-mail messages should include the letters "R.S.V.P." on the subject line, and provide the names of the representatives who plan to attend. Questions concerning this event should be e-mailed by close of business, February 21, 2001, to Robert Page at evba@vba.va.gov; e-mail messages should include the word "Questions," on the subject line. All questions and responses will be posted on the VA's OA&MM Business Opportunities System at http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/solicitation?number=101-VBA-020101. Again, this is not a solicitation, so please to not request a copy of an RFP, or ask to be placed on the bidders list. Due to the limited time involved in this event, no telephone inquiries will be honored.
