- Description
- It is the intent of the Office of Extramural Research (OER), National Institutes of Health (NIH), for a continuation of services performed by Federal Data Corporation (FDC), Rockville, MD to assist the Division of Extramural Information Systems (DEIS) in the development of Information for Management, Planning, Analysis, and Coordination systems (IMPAC II). IMPAC II is responsible for maintaining, improving, and extending the capabilities of the NIH enterprise-wide extramural data systems. The IMPAC II project was initiated by the NIH Division of Research Grants (DRG), but with the DRG/OER reorganization in 1996 the IMPAC II project became a part of NIH's Electronic Research Administration (eRA) initiative and within the purview of OER. A continuation of services will include the tasks listed below for completion of the IMPAC II System. Task to be completed will include: 1) management and technical services for design, programming, testing, training, documentation, and maintenance; and 2) provide off the shelf software and upgrades as required. By virtue of FDC's experience on the IMPAC II systems working on development, infrastructure, operations, maintenance and deployment, the vendor has demonstrated that it possesses the requisite skill sets that would enable it to immediately respond the technical requirements critical to new development and continued operational maintenance of OER's management information systems. OER has determined that FDC is the only source capable of providing the required services within the mandated time schedule based on their knowledge, experience and qualification related to the IMPAC II project. This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available. *****
