Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a sole source contract to Scientific Solutions, Inc. (SSI) of Nashua, New Hampshire. As a subcontractor under Contract N66604-98-D-5725, SSI developed, tested, and proved the feasibility of the High Frequency Marine Mammal Mitigation (HF/3M) system. Under the proposed contract, SSI will continue development, and provide installation and training services for the HF/3M system on the Cory Chouest Research Vessel, for one additional system to be installed, and for two back-up systems. NUWCDIVNPT will issue an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee provisions for a four-year performance period. The estimated level of effort is 5215 man-hours of supervisory scientist, senior engineer, scientist, mechanical engineer, technician and administrator.
