DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this announcement is to notify of the NHTSA's intent to extend the period of performance of its three Special Crash Investigation contracts until 30 September 2001. The incumbent contractors, and corresponding contract numbers, are: Veridian DTNH22-94-D-07058; Dynamic Science Incorporated DTNH22-94-D-27058; and Indiana University DTNH22-94-D-17058. The reason for the extension is to allow sufficient time to re-compete follow-on contracts. Announcement of the re-compete will be made through a separate CBD notice within the next few
