Description

Work consists of constructing approximately 2600 linear feet of concrete cutoff wall with a minimum continuous width of 18 inches and to depths ranging from 150 to 190 feet at Mississinewa Dam near Peru, Indiana. Materials to be penetrated by the cutoff wall include embankment dam material, overburden foundation material, and limestone rock. In addition, there will be roadwork associated with traffic detour and a small building addition. Cutoff wall construction includes a test area which is contained within the final cutoff wall location. Proposals received from this solicitation material will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria, listed in order of relative importance: 1) Technical Approach, 2) Experience and Past Performance, 3) Management Plan, 4) Safety, 5) Self-performed Work, 6) Subcontracting Plan. All evaluations factors other than cost or price, when combined, are significantly more important than cost or price. There will be a pre-proposal conference at Mississinewa Lake approximately 14 days after the issuance of the solicitation. The exact date and time will be identified in the solicitation. The estimated price range for this project is $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The estimated issue date is February 23, 2001. This project is available on compact disk only.
