Description
DESC: THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. Perform the following work at the North Shore Pumphouse, the North Shore Fish Entrance to the fish ladder and the South Shore Auxiliary Water Pumping Plant: 1) Design, manufacture, and install a 35 ton rated fixed leg derrick crane with a slewing boom and luffing vertical mast and boom assembly. Crane will mount to an existing concrete wall. Boom has maximum 80 foot pick radius. Mast is approximately 35 feet tall. Electro-hydraulic swing rotation. Electric operated wire rope type hoists for slewing of boom and lifting of loads. Furnish electro-hydraulic power package, motor controlers, transformers, electrical enclosures and boxes switches, motors, conduit and conductors, and appurtenances for a completely operational crane. Existing power supply for crane is 480 volt system; 2) Design, manufacture, and install a single-girder bridge crane with monorail hoist. Structural steel support framework is approximately 95'L by 38'W by 37'T. Framework will mount to an existing concrete deck. Trolley mounted hoist is rated 10 tons. Wire rope hoist is trolley mounted with motor driven tractor trolley. Furnish all mechanical, structural, and electrical equipment and appurtenances for a completely operational crane; 3) Modifications at the water supply conduit. Enlarge four openings in 5' thick concrete wall from 3' by 3' to approximately 5' by 5'. Saw cutting through the full 5' thickness of the wall is not required. Furnish and install four rising stem type, submersible, sluice gates and frames on the enlarged concrete openings. Gates are approximately 7'W by 5'T. Closed gates to withstand unseating head of 30' of water. The electric motor operated operators will be mounted on a concrete deck 40' above the gates; 4) New pumps at the north shore pumphouse. Remove 3 existing vertical turbine pumps, electric motors, speed reducers, and the pump bowls that are embedded in concrete. Some concrete removal is necessary. Design, model test, manufacture, and install new vertical, single stage, axial-flow impeller type pumps, speed reducers, and electric motors. Pumps shall discharge 375 cfs against 6 ft. head. Pump outlet is 8' diameter. Motors are vertical shaft squirrel-cage induction type, 4160 volt, approximately 450 h.p. Pumps, motors and speed reducers are to be factory tested before delivery; 5) Shop fabricate metalwork items. Steel bulkheads and guides, steel pipe hand railing, steel gratings and support framework, steel framework for the bridge crane, and many other miscellaneous steel items; 6) Electrical work North Shore-Upgrade the existing electrical controls and power systems to accommodate the new pumps and the additional loads of the cranes, sluice gates, etc., South Shore-Install new 4160 volt switch gear for the existing pumps in the south shore pump house; 7) On site work is to be done during the 2 month fish ladder outage period which is January and February each year. The systems must be completely operational at all other times throughout the duration of the contract. The estimated cost range for this job is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 234990. The small business size standard is average annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years must not exceed $27,500,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which may be considered.
