- FUTURE COMBAT SYSTEM MULTI-ROLE FIRE CONTROL SUBSYSTEM WITH THE US ARMY TANK- AUTOMOTIVE AND ARMAMENTS COMMAND, ARMAMENT RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND ENGINEERING CENTER (TACOM-ARDEC), PICATINNY ARSENAL, NJ is interested in establishing a contract for the Development of the FCS Multi-Role Fire Control System. The plan is to post a draft solicitation and receive comments and suggestions. Once final solicitation is posted and proposals are received it is anticipated that a Cost Type contract will be awarded during the summer 2001. A draft Request for Proposal for the ARDEC FCS MRAAS Fire Control System development task is available on the Acquisition Center Website (Procnet at http://procnet.pica.army.mil. Point of Contact for this action is Carol Yanavok, (973) 724-3365, US Army TACOM-ARDEC, AMSTA-CM-CPB, Bldg 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. You are requested to send comments to the draft RFP to above named individual. Comments/questions on the draft RFP are requested to be submitted electronically. All comments/questions will be considered when the final RFP is constructed. The Government may incorporate the comments/questions to the draft as an attachment to the formal solicitation. Please use the following guidance when submitting comments. Identify information in the draft RFP requiring clarification to allow preparation of a valid proposal; provide specific references from the RFP, when appropriate. Provide suggested changes to the draft RFP, which will allow any resultant contract to better achieve the Government s goals, and rationale for those changes. Comments should be limited to the content of the draft RFP. Submitters grant the Government unrestricted use of any comments and suggested changes offered which the offeror considers to be non-proprietary in nature; proprietary information should be clearly marked. The Government is under no obligation for payment of any time, etc., spent on this effort by those submitting. See Note #13.
