Description

NASA/ARC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for CONSTRUCTING A ONE STORY ADDITION TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS GATEWAY FACILITY, BUILDING N254. The work is to construct a 409 square meter one story addition to the existing Ames Telecommunications Gateway Facility, including earthwork and with all specified mechanical and electrical equipment installed, including plumbing and fire protection system in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The project has been designed completely in metric units. The construction is to be in metric units with dimensions as shown on the drawings. Materials and products to be in metric units unless otherwise specified. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $800,000.00 and $1,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within three hundred, thirty (330) calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total HUBZone set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 233320 and $27.5 million, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C2. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about February 26, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of or about March 29, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. All requests for copies of solicitation no. RFO2-36855(CAD) should be in writing and directed to Mr. Mike Wilkerson. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Facsimile requests will not be accepted. THERE WILL BE A NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE OF $45.00 FOR EACH SET OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO BECHTEL NATIONAL INCORPORATED AND MAIL TO NASA-AMES RESEARCH CENTER, ATTENTION: MR. MIKE WILKERSON, M/S 213-11, MOFFETT FIELD, CA 94035-1000.
