Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). LINE ITEM #1= QUANTITY OF 2, KIMBALL PHYSICS MEDIUM-ENERGY MEDIUM-FLOOD ELECTRON BEAM MODEL #EFG-11/EGPS-11 (OR EQUAL)INCLUDING GUN, POWER SUPPLY SPARE FIRING UNIT ASSEMBLY, CABLE SET AND RACK MOUNT KIT. Salient Specifications for Item #1: Electron Gun (modified from Kimball Physics EFG-11/EGPS-11) Kimball Physics EFG-11 or equivalent, including: Beam Energy: 500 eV to 20 keV (minimum range) Beam Current: 1 nA to 40 microA (minimum range) Beam Current density: 10 pA/cm^2 to 0.005 microA/cm^2 at 1.5m (minimum range)Maximum Energy Spread: 1 eV at 500 eV, 10 eV at 200 keV Spot size: 0.5 m Full Width Half Max at 1.5 m working distance Working distance: 1.5 to 2 m Feedthroughs: consistant uith UHV applications Cables/Connectors: High Voltage, fully ground-shielded Power Supply: Kimball Physics EFPS-11 or equivalent, including: Outputs: All necessary voltages and power to drive electron gun described above. Energy Stability: +/- 0.05% per hour Beam current stability +/- 1% per hour (after warmup period) Controls: Energy, Focus, Anode, Grid, Source, Emission Current Metering: Energy, Emission, Focus, Anode, Grid, Source Voltage and Current Dimensions: 17" wide, 19.5" wide rack mount LINE ITEM #2= QUANTITY OF 2, KIMBALL PHYSICS FARADAY CUP MODEL # FC-72A (OR EQUAL) 5 WATT MAXIMUM, 1 CM SQUARED APERATURE, VACUUM COMPATIBLE BNC FITTING, CUP ASSEMBLY CPMPLETELY ENCLOSED IN GROUND SHIELD, PHOSPHOR SCREEN ON FRONT PLATE, GRIDS: GROUND RETARDING AND SUPRESSION GRIDS. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-21. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 334515 and 500, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by close of business 2-26-01, and may be mailed or faxed to Sheree A. Fratus, Mail Stop 500-306, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44135. FAX # (216)433-2480, and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center (preferred), proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer (see FAR 52.212-1(b).
