- Description
- The US Army is evaluating various means of improving the fragmentation of a 20mm fragmenting warhead. Successful quoters will have to forge the warheads from the AISI 1340 and 9260 Steels, process with various heat treatments and then finish machine the warheads. A total of 350 warheads will be fabricated, 50 from each of 7 material/ heat treatment variants. All warheads will have internal embossing in the nose area. All deliverables from this contract will be inert, NO ENERGETICS ARE INVOLVED. Delivery of these warheads must be within 5 months of contract award. The Request for Quotation for this requirement, which includes the Statement of Work, will be posted in the Commerce Business Daily and Procnet within 5 days of this notice.
