- * PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYING SERVICES -- The Colville National Forest, in Northeast Washington, requests professional land surveying services identify/market themselves for future project work consisting of Rock Pit site, Campground site, Low Standard Forest Road, and Cadastral Surveys. All work must be done under the direct supervision of a licensed land surveyor, licensed to practice in the State of Washington. Depending upon the specific project, additional project work may include consulting and assistance in project administration. Project work will occur at various Eastern Washington locations, including some remote sites reached by trail or air, on the Colville National Forest during the period March 2001 to November 2001. Interested and qualified firms are invited to respond by submitting Standard Form 254 and 255. Standard Form 255 should relate to Rock Pit site, Campground site, Low Standard Forest Road, and Cadastral Surveys. Forms are available at http://www.arnet.gov . Projects will be awarded based on this announcement and when project funding becomes available consisting of projects not exceeding $25,000. The evaluation criteria that will be used for future project award (in descending order) include: 1). Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of the required services. 2). Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required including, where appropriate, experience in energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and the use of recovered materials. 3). Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time. 4). Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, meeting contract specifications and compliance with performance schedules. 5). Location in the general geographical area and knowledge of the project locality; provided, that the application of this criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and size of the project. 6). Additional credit may be given to potential contractors that are or will subcontract with a Small Business Administration certified 8(a) contractor or other small disadvantaged businesses. This procedure will continue until the Forest Service unit has met its small business goals. All responsible sources submitting responses to the Contracting Officer will be considered. Responses will be accepted through March 15, 2001, and must be submitted to the Contracting Officer, Okanogan/Wenatchee National Forest, 1240 South 2nd Avenue, Okanogan, WA 98840. This information will be kept on file for use for up to three years if not updated. See Notes1 and 24.
