Description
The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center intends to procure hands on instruction for nine personnel on Windows 2000 Operating System. Instruction will be approximately 18 days in length per person. Nine vouchers will be purchased for each person to receive the complete instruction of all topics listed below. Vouchers will be redeemable for a one year period from date of award of purchase order. Instruction will cover the following topics: Create Windows 2000 internetworks in a globally distributed environment. Leverage Windows 2000 PKI and the Active Directory to support secure communications. Implement secure remote access with RRAS VPN clients and servers and RADIUS. Deploy ISA Server and NAT to enhance performance and security. Define solutions for replication through firewalls Configure advanced namespace solutions with heterogeneous DNS. Implement and configure Windows 2000 for your environment. Create logical views with the Distributed File System (Dfs). Utilize the Active Directory Service. Manage your Windows 2000 enterprise. Organize users and groups. Hierarchically organize administration. Establish local and network resource security. Migrate from previous NT versions to Windows 2000. Effectively plan and deploy a Windows 2000 enterprise. Plan Organizational Units (OUs) to avoid future restructuring. Migrate to Windows 2000 without interrupting your business operation. Efficiently manage an enterprise using the Active Directory (AD). Configure a replication topology based on your network structure. Design delegation of administration and plan Group Policy deployment. Build custom administration tools using the Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Leverage the Active Directory for management, security and policy deployment. Create sophisticated Group Policy to configure user and workstation environments. Automate installation and repair of applications using Windows Installer Service. Implement an efficient OS deployment strategy using cloning and Remote Installation Service. Evaluate the benefits and infrastructure requirements of Terminal Services. The Huntsville, Alabama area is the preferred location for the training. If the offeror is outside of this area, the cost of travel and other expenses will be added IAW the Joint Travel Regulation for purposes of evaluation of its bid. Personnel attending instruction will attend individually. New Horizons has already been identified as offering the required instruction. No RFQs or RFPs will be issued other than this notice.
