Description

The United States Navy, Naval Engineering Command, invites bids for the construction of an Integrated Communication Complex at Aviano Air Base, Italy. This approximately 4,055 m2 gross area Integrated Communication Complex is a two storied building with reinforced foundation, reinforced concrete columns and beams, load bearing exterior walls, reinforced concrete floor, roof and in filled masonry walls. The ground floor slab is built on an igloo type sub floor slab with insulation. Computer access flooring will be provided at special areas. The roof is clay tile on metal deck on reinforced concrete roof slab. Exterior finishes are stucco. The building comprises of offices, workshops and ancillary facilities and will be equipped with fire alarm and sprinkler fire protection systems. Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning with central chillers and boilers will be provided. Site work including concrete walkways, landscaping, connection to water, sewer and electrical installations, telecommunications cabling and site lighting are required. Lighting protection for the building is required. Special conditions: The work includes underground installation of utilities, including communication and electrical cabling. Acoustical control, noise reduction measures will be required for the construction of the envelope of the building to reduce aircraft noise level on the inside to minimun 25db below the noise level on the outside.
