Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is Request for Quotation #2QR4-032-01. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. Set aside for small business -- NAICS: 441310 -- Size standard $5.0 million. Line Items are: 1)Install 60" CA dual wheel service bodies with superstructures on Ford F-550, 4x4 trucks, qty. 5 each; 2) Install 56" CA dual wheel service bodies with superstructures on Ford F-350, 4x4 crew cab trucks with bed exchange, qty. 2 each; 3)Install 56" CA dual wheel utility body on a Ford F-350, 4x4 with bed exchange, qty. 1 each; 4) Install 56" CA dual wheel utility body on a GM K3500, 4x4, extended cab truck with bed exchange, qty. 1 each; 5) Install 56" CA single wheel utility bodies on Ford F-350, 4x4 crew cab trucks with bed exchange, qty. 3 each; 6) Install 56" CA single wheel utility body w/flip top lids on Dodge 2500, 4x4 truck with bed exchange, qty. 1 each. Final products shall be complete, fully operational and certified. Government shall deliver trucks to the contractor location. Contractor shall be liable for all loss or damage of such government-furnished property until completion and final acceptance of work. Contractor must be familiar with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). Est. start date is March 5, 2001 with 21 calendar days for completion per vehicle. Technical specifications: 1) All materials, parts and assemblies shall be new and of current manufacturing practices; 2) Manufacturer's standard heavy duty, service body and superstructure shall be furnished; 3) Bed shall be 14 gauge, two sided galvanneal zinc coated steel construction. Structural connections will be made by arc welding or min. grade 5 bolts and self-locking nuts; 4) There shall be no drilling or grinding on frame flangers ahead of the rear most spring hanger. There shall be no welding on the frame ahead of the rear most spring hanger; 5) The understructure shall have no lips or pockets that wil trap water and mud. Contractor's installation facility shall be located within 50 miles of Boise, Idaho. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror's-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (paragraph (a) -- the evaluation criterial will be delivery date and price); 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial Items. NOTE: Offeror's must include a copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their quote. This can be obtained at http://www.arnet.gov/far. Quotes shall include a description of the products offered and the total price for each item. Include bed exchange price for those items that specify bed exchange.
