Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00181-01-Q-0231 applies. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. The Standard Industrial Code is 3569, NAICS 333999 with a small business size of 500 employees. The requirement is for (1) Abrasive Blast Machine with the following ordering data: 1) 160 CU. FT. Blast Machine, 150 PSI ASME rated; 2) 90 degree cone bottom; 3) Four outlets with Thompson valves with polyurethane sleeves; 4) Full load lifting eyes; 5) Skid mounted with fork slots; 6) 12 volt D.C. remote controls; 7) 1-1/2" piping with 2" outlets; 8) Manual blowdown; 9) 1600 CFM moisture separator; 10) Abrasive cutoff feature 11) Union-end ball valves above Thompson valves; 12) Four outlet manifold; 13) Ladder with platform; 14) 400 ft. 1-1/4" I.D. blast hose with couplings; 15) 400 ft. 16/4 remote control cord; 16) Four pair deadman control plugs, twist-lock style; 17) Setup assistance and operator training; 18) Vendor must be able to respond within 24 hours for on-site technical assistance. NOTE: IAW FAR 52.212-1(B)(4) FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY DATA FOR EVALUATION MAY RESULT IN A CONTRACTOR'S OFFER BEING DEEMED AS NON-RESPONSIVE. Delivery shall be FOB destination, NNSY, Portsmouth, VA 23709. Delivery Date: 16 April 2001. Inspection/acceptance at destination. FAR 52.212-1, 52-212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.246-1 and DFAR 252.212.7000 apply to this acquisition. DFARS 252.204-7004 REQUIRED CENTRAL REGISTRATION" applies. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Info can be obtained through internet at http://ccr2000.com. Offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3. Offer Representation and Certification-Commercial Items. Offer shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable price, technical acceptability, adherence to applicable clauses, provisions, and satisfactory past performance. The Navy's contractor evaluation system, Red/Yellow/Green Program will apply in the evaluation process. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, formal quote form, etc) but must include the following: 1) complete mailing/remittance address; 2) prompt payment discount; 3) anticipated delivery; 4) Taxpayer Identification Number; 5) All completed certifications as required as required herein. All quotations must be received by 2:00 PM, local time, 5 March 2001.
