Description

The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for an interferometer system that can produce a two-dimensional (2-D) interferogram of the electron density distribution from the plasma associated with a z-pinch/plasma radiation source (PRD) or an electron-beam (e-beam) diode radiation source. The system shall include a laser with all associated components, Optical, Detection and Reconstruction Components. The system shall be capable of operation in the holographic and shearing modes. The procurement shall include an acceptance test and training of Government personnel. The desired delivery for item 0001-Time Resolved, 2-D, Interferometer system is 6 months after contract award. The required delivery is nine months. The articles to be furnished hereunder shall be delivered FOB destination to the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C. 20375-5320. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business (SB) concerns. If adequate interest is not received from SB concerns the solicitation will then be issued as open to all business concerns. The deadline for receipt of proposals shall be on or about 30 days after issuance of the RFP. NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. This solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via the Internet approximately fifteen (15) days after publication of this announcement at the URL address provided below. Printed copies of this RFP will not be provided. Note 1 is applicable.
