Description
The U.S. House of Representatives is seeking information about potential sources that can produce Multi-Line Optical Character Reader (MLOCR) mail sorters with state-of-the-art functions and capabilities. The House has unique mail sorting and outgoing mail postage tabulation requirements. As a minimum, any solution the House may purchase must address the areas of advanced character recognition, multi-class mail processing (First, Standard, inbound), postage charge-back, and letter and flat sorting. It also must be upgradable in order to remain up-to-date for the foreseeable future. Hardware, software, and training support must be available for the life of the equipment. The House is requesting that interested sources provide the following information: 1. Proposed technical solutions(s) and required equipment specifications (brand name products preferred) and estimated equipment prices 2. Manufacturer(s) of proposed products with catalog purchase price, and estimated annual maintenance costs 3. Estimated Implementation Timeline, Customization Requirements (if needed), and costs 4. Estimated training costs based on a per unit classroom setting and individual user sessions 5. Estimated costs of help-desk support including the hours of operation 6. Estimated costs of on-site support/service (including response and resolution times) for one year Any interested sources should download and respond to the request for information from the Office of Procurement Web site.
