Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a requirement for Engineering/Technical support in the design development, procurement, test, evaluation, and operation of Telemetry Receiving Systems (TRS) in support of the Navy Tactical Ballistic Missile Defense (TBMD) program and for the Land Attack Standard Missile (LASM). The TRS support includes both the Navy Theater-Wide STANDARD Missile 3 (SM-3) program and the Navy Area SM-2 BLK IVA program. The LASM support includes SM Fuzing Systems and Range Safety Operations at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). The contract will be for five years beginning 1 July 2001. NSWCDD intends to award the contract on a sole source basis to Basic Engineering Concepts & Technologies, Inc. (BecTech), 2711 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 303, Arlington, VA 22202. BecTech currently has the unique corporate resources having the specific knowledge, specialized experience, and expertise to support the SM program and the LASM program. BecTech expertise includes: multiple years of telemetry system design and development experience; support of live fire test and evaluation exercises at Navy test ranges from both shipboard and land based test site perspectives; multiple years of experience directly related to the WSMR; and specific significant experience with SM fuzing systems inclusive of all current SM variants. Interested parties other than BecTech must demonstrate, in writing, their capability to provide the required services.
