Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for one or more prototype development efforts for a high-voltage power supply for the Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) mission. Each order will be issued on a firm fixed price basis, and shall have a not-to-exceed value of $60,000. The selected offeror(s) will be required to deliver a working prototype and a Qualification Plan under the resulting order(s). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 35999 and 500 employees respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ5-07973-211 is on or about March 6, 2001, with an anticipated quote due date of on or about March 22, 2001. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
