Description

Services of an Architectural/Engineer (A/E) for design to provide a new HVAC system for the main computer equipment spaces on the 8th floor; replace the HVAC system (AHU-10) for a portion of the operating suite on the 4th floor; and replace/add chill water and hot water heating valves; all in the main hospital, Bldg 1 of the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Design includes the preparation of complete drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates per latest VA guidelines. Project will include demolition, asbestos removal, equipment replacement and remodeling. Drawings shall be accomplished on "CAD" and be compatible with VA Auto cad system format software, Auto Cad Release 2000. The A/E will be required to complete all design work within 120 calendar days of contract award. Estimated construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. See number Note 24. NAICS Number is 541310. Architectural Services applies to this procurement. This solicitation is unrestrictive in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration. Program. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 25 mile radius of Louisville, Kentucky . Interested firms should submit two copies of appropriate data as described in numbered Note 24 by close of business March 19, 2001. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
