Description

The purpose of this announcement is to correct the solicitation number of this procurement from the number previously announced as RFP-797-FSS-00-0015 to RFP-797-FSS-00-0115 and to provide details about a pre-proposal conference. This is a new Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) solicitation for Schedule Number 621 I Professional Medical/Healthcare Services. Fixed-price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type-contract with economic price adjustment provision. Contract period is for a 5-year base with option to extent. This schedule is only for professional labor categories including but not limited to physicians and register nursing. The purpose of this solicitation is to provide a vehicle for all Government agencies to obtain quality Professional Medical Healthcare Services from qualified/experienced contractor(s) under a Multiple Award Federal Supply Schedule in an efficient, streamlined, and cost effective manner in accordance with applicable statutes and regulations. The solicitation issuance date is 2/1/01. This solicitation is open and continuous; therefore, there is no firm cut-off date for receipt of offers. Proposals may be submitted at any time. Solicitation documents are available in electronic format. Electronic solicitations may be obtained for FREE at the following URL: http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm. Notice: Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at this URL. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. A pre-proposal conference will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2001. The conference time is 9:00 a.m., local (Central Standard Time) and is being held at the VA National Acquisition Center, located in Building 37, on the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital complex, Room 133, 1st Avenue one block north of Cermak Road, Hines, IL 60141. The complex is located approximately 11 miles west of the Chicago Loop. The most direct route is via the Eisenhower Expressway (Route 290) to 1st Avenue. Go south on 1st Avenue to Roosevelt Road and proceed west on Roosevelt Road to 5th Avenue. Turn into the Hines complex. From O'Hare Airport, take Route 294 south to the Eisenhower Expressway. The subject of the pre-proposal conference will be solicitation number RFP-797-00-0115. The pre-proposal conference will afford all interested parties and opportunity to comment and engage in open discussion on the solicitation package. Any questions or concerns that prospective offerors may have regarding the solicitation package will be addressed at this time.
