Description

Contractor shall completely prepare site for Project #550-01-110, Renovate for Consolidation/Realignment of Function, Buildings 102 and 98 at the VA Medical Center, Danville, Illinois as required by the contract drawings and specifications. Work includes demolition and removal of existing structures, removal of metal wardrobes, and the removal of asbestos materials on existing HVAC and mechanical piping systems insulation, flooring and mastic located in Building 102, Nursing Units 1, 2, 7 and 8. The construction cost range for this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification Code is 56291. The solicitation documents will be available after March 5, 2001. All requests for bid packages shall be in writing addressed to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a $25.00 non-refundable bid fee made payable to Department of Veterans Affairs. There will be a pre-bid conference held at the VA Medical Center in Danville, Illinois on March 22, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in Building 102, Room 116E.
